Holocaust, Fascism, Antisemitism: from Berlin to Buenos Aires
האירוע יערך ב28.12.16, בשעה 14:15, בחדר 400, במכון ליהדות זמננו
This talk addresses the post war meaning of the Holocaust for neo-fascist and Dirty War military perpetrators. Fascist ideology was made tangible in Argentina in the 1970s for perpetrators through a ritualized practice of torture and extermination that was rooted in the transcontextual memory of fascist violence and the Holocaust. Argentine perpetrators constantly reminded heir victims that torturing and killing them continued the global war of fascism.
